Pre And Post op diet for my ten yearold standard bitch poodle

In ten days time my ten year old bitch will under go an operation for non agressive tumore.She has untill now eatten a high meat diet can you suggest vegitarian based alternative for her post op diet? Thanks

Hi! Did your veterinarian recommended a vegetarian diet postop? I am asking because it is not very common that we recommend that. Most dogs can eat their normal diet postop, since their stomach is used to that diet and it usually means less risk for upset stomache (sometimes we recommend a highly digestible diet, like those for sensitive stomach postop). If your veterinarian recommended vegetarian food I think the best thing is to ask her/him which food he/she recommends. Othervise you can email us again and tell us a bit more about the reason to the vegetarian diet, and we will try to help. :) Kind regards
